I have been thinking a lot about the role of customer support lately, specifically from an affiliate perspective. It is easy to focus on commissions and conversion rates when evaluating potential partners. However, I believe the quality of support a player receives significantly impacts long-term value and, by extension, our passive income streams. Some data suggests that player retention is directly tied to positive support experiences. A site with consistently poor support can damage reputation, leading to higher churn, which ultimately hurts affiliate earnings. Here are a few aspects of customer support I consider:
  1. Response Time: How quickly do players get answers to their queries? Slow responses are often a major frustration point.
  2. Channel Availability: Is support available 24/7? Do they offer live chat, email, or phone options? More access points generally mean better service.
  3. Language Support: Are multiple languages available, especially for the target geographical regions? This is crucial for expanding reach and player comfort.
  4. Problem Resolution: Do the support agents actually solve issues effectively, or do they just provide canned, unhelpful responses? Genuine problem-solving builds trust.
What are your thoughts on this? How much weight do you give customer support when you decide to promote a gambling operator? Is it a deal-breaker for you, or more of a secondary consideration after commission structures? Interested to hear if others share this viewpoint or if I am perhaps overthinking it.
