Beyond the %: What Matters for Welcome Bonuses?

Been thinking a lot lately about how the landscape for welcome bonuses keeps evolving. Seems like every other week there's a new offer promising huge match percentages or hundreds of free spins. But honestly, I've learned the hard way that the headline number is almost never the full story. For me, when I'm looking at a new offer, I'm immediately scanning for a few things. First up, wagering requirements - obviously. A 1000% bonus with 100x wagering on the deposit and bonus is basically a donation. 😂 Then I dive into the less obvious stuff. Max cashout limits are a huge deal. What's the point of hitting a big win if you can only withdraw a fraction of it? Also, game restrictions and contribution rates. Some bonuses are only good on slots with terrible RTP, or table games contribute like 5%. Makes a massive difference to the actual value. I'm curious what everyone else prioritizes. Is it purely the size, or are you all digging into the T&Cs like me? What's your top 1 or 2 factor when comparing offers these days? Trying to optimize my own approach here.

Spot on. Wagering requirements are absolutely the make-or-break for any bonus. It's crazy how many operators still try to hide insane playthroughs. Beyond the multiplier itself, do you also factor in the game weighting? Some slots contribute so little it's practically impossible to clear a larger bonus. What's your threshold for acceptable wagering these days?

So, I totally get what you mean about the headline numbers being misleading - definitely a trap! Wagering is huge, obviously. But for me, it's often the game restrictions that sting the most. So many times, a bonus looks amazing, but then you find out it's only for slots with terrible RTP, or live casino games are excluded entirely! That's a deal-breaker. What about max cashout limits - do those influence your choices a lot?
