Been thinking a lot lately about the affiliate landscape and how much it's changed, especially with AI tools making content easier but also potentially flooding the market with low-quality stuff. It got me wondering about the flip side of all the success stories we hear. We all chase those high-converting offers and solid partnerships. But what about the ones that go sideways? I'm not talking about just low conversions, but genuinely bad experiences. Things like getting retroactively shaved, non-existent support, or traffic being misattributed. Or even worse, programs just disappearing overnight. I've had a few close calls over the years where things just felt off. Sometimes it's a gut feeling about the communication, other times it's seeing a sudden drop in reporting that doesn't make sense. It makes you realize how crucial due diligence is. So, I'm curious: what's been your absolute worst experience with an affiliate program or network, generally speaking? What were the biggest red flags you wish you'd spotted earlier? Trying to gather some collective wisdom on what to absolutely avoid in 2026 and beyond.

Totally get what you're saying about genuinely bad experiences - seen a few myself, especially with some of the sketchier casino offers back in the day. While retroactive shaving is definitely a nightmare and a huge red flag, in my experience, a lot of the 'bad' stuff now is more about poor communication or just super low conversions on offers that look good upfront. It's like finding a needle in a haystack to get those truly high-converting gambling landing pages these days, even with all the AI content out there.
